THE WORD WORKS!

"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."(Acts 20:32)

There are several books and articles on success written by men without spiritual insight or scriptural foundation or revelation. Some Christians spend a great deal of time brooding over such materials in search of success principles, not caring to find out if these authors themselves succeeded through their own prescriptions on success. Hear this, only God's Word can make you a true success. Human knowledge or wisdom can't make you a permanent success in life. You need the Holy Spirit, the Author of life Himself, to teach you through His Word how to be successful in life. Psalm 39:5 says, "... Verily, every man at his best state is altogether vanity." That means you can't trust in the ways of man to become successful.

Human wisdom is not enough to put you over in life. Go for the wisdom of God. (Read Proverbs 4:7) The manifold wisdom of God is creative and potent –effectively vital to enforce successful desires into reality. God has  given us His Word to teach us how to be prosperous in life. If you'd only follow the Lord and live by His Word, you'll be a success and you'll have no fear of tomorrow. The truth is, everything–both spiritual and material blessings, you'll ever need in this life has been provided for–made available to you in Christ Jesus once you are saved. However, it is the Word of God that ushers you into that inheritance.

No wonder, Saint Luke in our opening verse said "...I commend you unto God and to THE WORD OF HIS GRACE, WHICH IS ABLE TO BUILD YOU UP AND GIVE YOU AN INHERITANCE..." (Acts 20:32). This is done through the constant study and meditation upon the Word God. (read Joshua 1:8) When you study and meditate on the Word, you're building your spirit and loading up treasures in it. Soonest those good treasures you've loaded in your spirit begin to manifest physically.  Praise God!

The Prayer:

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for your Word which is able to build me up and give me an inheritance in Christ Jesus. As I meditate more on your Word, my spirit is being loaded with treasures which will manifest on the outside in the Name of Jesus. Amen!

REACH OUT IN LOVE!

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted..." (Luke 4:18).

There are hurting people all over the world today who need our love and care. We meet them every where we and everyday in our different spheres of contact; bus stops, shopping malls, workplaces, schools, on the streets etc. These are victim of harsh and cruel society; full of shattered dreams and unfulfilled hopes. Many of them hide behind shadows of cosmetic smiles, while others clearly betray the weight of their burdens.

Make a difference today in the lives of those hurting folks around you by showing them the Father's love. Never be insensitive to the plights of others. Don't be judgmental towards people, even when it's obvious they've made blunders. Many of them are already broken inside and don't need anyone to remind them of their wrongs! This is when and where love heals. Show them unconditional love and make up your mind they'll leave happy, encouraged and more strengthened than you met them.

For others, what they need might be just a kind smile, a gentle, compassionate touch that will communicate God's love and acceptance. The truth is, it is no mistake that you come across broken and sad folks everyday. God brought them your way so you can show them a new future that is lighted with hope because He has, "...anointed you to.....heal the brokenhearted" (Luke 4:18). Also, learn to speak words that will heal, build and encourage people. What you wish to ignite in the lives of other should be burning in your own life so the job may be easier for you. Let your life be a channel of endless expression of God's love!

The Prayer:

Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you for having filled my heart with your love such that  I can reach out to heal the brokenhearted. Thank you for having made me a vessel of hope and love to my world. I'll use this nature of God in me to promote the kingdom of heaveb–bringing many to salvation through love in Jesus Name. Amen!

CHRIST–THE HOPE FOR SALVATION!

"Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us" (Act 4:12 GNB).

It is a widely presumed assumption that  Christ Jesus, the Anointed one of God who died for us all, came for the purpose of setting up religion–Christianity. I got engaged in a conversation with some group of Christians and one of them said "Thanks be to Jehovah who sent His Son Jesus to the world to show us the proper religion to follow." Invariably, this fellow was having the idea that Christ Jesus came to set up Christianity as a religion on earth for men but is not just true. Understand this, in Christ religion is of men, but relationship is of God. God didn't send  Christ for the purpose of religion but relationship. God wants relationship with us through the death and resurrection of His Son.

Religion has been on ground before Christ came but that couldn't save the world of humanity. Even in Israel, they had their traditional means of worshipping or rendering services to God but that couldn't save them. God doesn't want humanity to perish anyway, so He initiated the idea of salvation as a means by which men would be saved and also ushered into relationship with God; it is through salvation that we receive the spirit of adoption as children of God. John 1:12 says "But to all who received him, he gave the right to become the children of God. All they needed to do was to trust him to save them" (TLB). This means Jesus is our only hope for salvation.

Why don't you say 'yes' to this expression of God's love today? There's no repentance in hell. The only time you have to key into this salvation plan of God is now that you still have the opportunity to. Are you once saved and you feel you've lost it because you did some inordinate things and you got swept out of faith? You can still make it back into God's arms. He's waiting for you. The truth is, God's love is endless and unconditional. He still loves you as much as He loves Jesus. 

TO RECEIVE CHRIST INTO YOUR SPIRIT SAY THIS PRAYER WITH THE WHOLE OF YOUR HEART:

"Lord Jesus I Come To You Today. I Accept That I Am A Sinner, I Can't Save Myself, Save Me. I Believe In My Heart That You Died For Me And Rose For My Justification. I Confess You Today As The Lord And Saviour of  My Life. Thank You For Saving Me in Jesus' name. Amen! To everyone else; May the infinite love of God prevail in every area of your needs in the Name of Jesus. Amen!

HOPE FOR YOU IN CHRIST!

"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." (Mark 9:23 KJV)

As Jesus told of the signs of the end times in Luke 21:26, He explained that: "People will be so frightened that they will faint because of what is happening to the world..." The unfriendly events and situations we see in the world today are indications of the gross darkness that Jesus foretold in the Book of Luke.

However, even though the scriptures declare that these perilous times will come upon the earth, the believer in Christ has been advised not to be afraid or be in fear but should be in perfect peace. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."( John 16:33 KJV) That means refuse to allow your heart to be troubled by many ills plaguing today's world, for you are not of this world! Truth is, God has separated you from the world and given you a life that's beyond this world.

What matters is if you know you have this supernatural life, because if you know you do, you'll live victoriously and triumphantly above sickness, disease, failure, stagnation, lack and want and other vices that do not conform to this abundant life you have in Christ. Believe in God and live in the light of His Word. Job 22:29 says, "When men are cast down, then you shall say, There is lifting up..." There is lifting for you in Christ. Christ in you is the hope of glory. With Christ in you, you can never be disadvantaged or defeated in life. You reign with Him victoriously. When life looks dark and things seem impossible and difficult, hold your head up high and declare, "Christ in me, is my hope of victory in this situation". Praise God!

THE BLESSED TRUTH!

Prayer:

Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for causing me to emerge victoriously in all situations through Christ. I reign above all circumstances inordinate with the nature of God. My life is secure in Christ Jesus who causes all things to work together for my good. I can never be disadvantaged or defeated in life in Jesus' Name. Amen!

For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God" (Romans 10:1-3).

THE LIFE OF SUCCESS!

"But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day" (Proverbs 4:18 KJV).

God desires that you consistently make progress and excel from glory to glory. He expects you to be increasingly fruitful and productive in all your endeavours. Jesus said in John 15:1-8 (NLT), “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more...When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father." If you’re already successful and productive, the Lord prunes you to be even more productive. You don’t have to wait until you’re old to know whether or not you’re a success. Success is measured at different stages of your life. Solomon was a young man when God made him a success. 

If you’re conscious of success at the level where you are today, that consciousness will take you to a higher level of success tomorrow. Realize that you’re in the world as an agent of change; those you work with or relate to should find you indispensable. Your boss and those you work with should be able to depend on you for excellent delivery. When projects are committed to you, see to it that they’re executed in perfection. Let those around you consider you central to their own success. 

Cultivate an uncompromising attitude of success; never make excuses for failure. Keep away from the mundane, and instil in yourself a culture of excellence and perfection. The success-mentality gets you excited everyday about life, and the opportunity to confront life’s challenges and win! Produce results; win everyday. Be happy and ready to solve problems, answer questions, and be a blessing to your world; that’s the life of success to which you’ve been called.

I’m a success; and my path is as the shining light, which shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. I’m making progress from glory to glory, bringing forth abundant fruits unto God in righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

BORN WITH WEALTH UNTOLD!

"Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours" (1 Corinthians 3:21 KJV).

Riches, wealth, and honour come from God (read 1  Chronicles  29:12). He gave these to Abraham and his seed, and Galatians 3:16 lets us know that Christ is the Seed of Abraham: “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Christ inherited all the blessings of Abraham, and if you belong to Christ, you’re Abraham’s  seed, and all the promises that were made to Christ belong to you. “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29 KJV).

Now, it is an erroneous prayer for you to ask God to make you rich. He doesn’t need to, because you were born the very heir of all the riches and wealth He could ever give, when you were born again. That's why I made up my mind that I'd not preach "God will bless you" messages anymore. All the blessings–including riches and wealth are summed up in eternal life. I don't want you thinking that there's something you need that is not in eternal life. So the key to access your riches in Christ is salvation. When you got born again, only were you born with wealth untold, He gave you the power to get wealth. What you need now is to know the Word of God to chart your course. You can prosper at any level of life and career. Irrespective of your job description, business, country or state, you can be prosperous through Christ. 

Don’t let the things people say about the economy shake you. The wealth of this world isn’t reducing. Money is man-made, and it doesn’t determine your wealth. Your wealth will determine how much money is available to you, because money gravitates to men and women of wealth. Isaiah 60:11 says, “Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought." Walk in the consciousness of this truth. The kind of wealth you have in Christ is immeasurable because you're blessed beyond measures. Hallelujah!

AFFIRMATION

I’m an offspring of the Most High, possessor of heaven and earth, and I’m the seed of Abraham, heir of the world. My prosperity is unlimited, for I was born with wealth untold. I  lay up gold as dust, and the riches of the nations gravitate to me in the Name of Jesus. Amen!

FAITH IS THE KEY!

"And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the  mouths of lions"(Hebrews 11:32-33).

Our Lord Jesus said if you have faith, as a grain of mustard seed, nothing shall be impossible to you (Read Matthew 17:20). Your faith is the key to access your world. The Bible tells us of certain men and women who  through faith dominated the world of their time (Hebrews 11:32-33). The eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews gives us an insightful chronicle of the extraordinary accomplishments of some of these great men and women of faith: how they subdued kingdoms, and functioned in righteousness, standing their grounds in their convictions. Their faith serves as an example for us today. Their deeds were written for our inspiration and edification; letting us know we can do the same. 

Let’s reflect on the attitude of one of these great heroes of faith—Joshua. By faith, he led the Israelites to march round the intimidating walls of Jericho seven times, with the menacing walls coming down flat on the seventh count, as they gave the victory shout (read Joshua 6:16-20). You can live every day in victory and dominion through faith. The Bible admonishes us to be “...followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Hebrews 6:12), that means, they should be our role models. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, the prophets of old, the Lord  Jesus Christ, and the Apostles have all set examples of faith for us to emulate. You can face and overcome whatever obstacle is before you by speaking forth words of faith. 

You can effect changes and do great things in your world today. You too can manifest righteousness and give life to the dead or hopeless situations. You can revive your business if it’s been grounded, or keep it growing from glory to glory. You can excel greatly in ministry, in your  academics, career or profession and be a wonder to your world. Your faith is the key; access your world with it.

The Prayer:

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for the Word of faith that is in my heart and my mouth, and it prevails as I speak it forth. My life is the testimony of God’s grace and a harvest of blessings because I walk by faith in His Word. I’m more than a conqueror, and my faith is the victory that overcomes the world in the Name of Jesus. Amen!

BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS! (PT. 2)

"Thus, whenever you give to the poor, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites in the synagogues and in the streets like to do, that they may be recognized and honored and praised by men. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already. So that your deeds of charity may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly." (Matthew 6:2, 4 AMP)

To start with, when we say BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS, it  shouldn't be an opportunity for you to raise your profile in the public. The Spirit of God says that is the culture of ..."the hypocrites..." As a child of God, you shouldn't behave that way. You don't have to condescend to the ways of the worldly folks. You're a different being. You don't think like them, because whether or not you it, the way you think is the way you unknowingly behave! You are a new creation– created to show forth God's glory and unconditional love.

When your act of giving is centred on receiving praises from men for those good things you make happen for others, then such good isn't spurring out from unconditional love and concern for those poor folks but from the fact that you want to be recognized and honoured. Sanctimoniously, you are also professing your being better than those folks you helped. You're depriving yourself of the eternal and better reward from God when you seek after the praises of men for every act of charity you do. Meanwhile, the Word of God warns us to "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:" (1 Peter 5:6 KJV). 

If you want to feed the poor, the feed the poor. If you want assist the needy, then assist the needy but the moment you start posting it on social media for people's praises, you are also feeding your ego. Listen, kindness is not an advertisement for accolades, it is an invincible act of humanity driven by selfless and unconditional love. Do your giving without people's appraisals. You need not announce yourself. God sees in the secret. He will reward you openly. There is a better reward for you than people's praises. Make no fame out of people's penury. God doesn't like that.

The Prayer: 

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for the understanding of your Word this morning concerning my giving lifestyle. Have mercy on me in every area I have erred against this message. I refuse to take pride and glory in all my giving henceforth, but that in all, your name alone would be praised in Jesus' Name. Amen!

BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS!

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7).

ALL THINGS  ARE YOURS! 

"Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours" (1 Corinthians 3:21).

By boldly  declaring, “All things are yours,” the Apostle Paul, by the Spirit of God, lets us know that we have access to all the vast resources of the earth. There’s therefore no need to be envious or fight others over what they have. Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein."  Since God is your heavenly Father, and you’re His heir (Read Romans 8:17) then all that He owns belongs to you. 

Galatians 3:29 says,  “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise." You’re the seed of Abraham and therefore the beneficiary of the Abrahamic blessings. Your association with Christ has  made you a real descendant of Abraham, and the possessor of the world, because God willed the world to Abraham (Read Romans 4:13). Nothing, therefore, is too good for you. Refuse  to settle  for  the average life, for you’re blessed beyond measure. You’ve been appointed to a life of prosperity, in righteousness; it’s your heritage. No good thing you desire is unattainable, or impossible. Never resort to dishonest means to  achieve your desires; walk in the light of God’s Word and He’ll guide you to the realisation of your dreams. 

Understand that God doesn’t withhold good things from His children; He gives liberally to all men without finding faults (Read James 1:5). Everything you require for life and godliness, have been made available to you in Christ. The world and all that are in it are yours in the Lord: take possession and enjoy your inheritance. Praise God!

The Prayer:

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, i thank you for making all graces abound to me, whereby I lack nothing but sufficient in all things. I declare with my mouth today that the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. I walk in heavenly affluence in the name of Jesus! I’m blessed with all spiritual and material blessings in Christ Jesus. I’ve been brought into a life of grace and supernatural abundance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
