YOU ARE A MINISTER OF RECONCILIATION!
"...Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15).Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” This is the Great Commission; and it’s the Lord’s charge to every Christian. You’re to preach the glorious Gospel of Christ; it’s the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes (Read Romans 1:16).
Nothing in the world should mean more to you than leading men and women to Christ. 2 Peter 3:9 tells us that the Lord is unwilling that any man should perish; rather, He wants all to hear and receive the Gospel and be saved. The sole reason for which He to the earth was for the salvation of humanity. Some people are still thinking it was just for those miracles He came, and this the reason behind their passivity towards preaching the Gospel. That's totally wrong. Our Lord Jesus came to reconcile the world to the Father and when He was done with His time here on earth, He handed the baton to us to continue with that ministry of reconciliation-the ministry of salvation.
When the Master instructed us to preach and teach all nations, He wasn’t just referring to countries; He meant different ethno-systems: the different groupings or companies of people with common interests, trade, vision or characteristics. For example, the world of bankers, lawyers, students, traders, the academia, etc., these are “nations” of people with common interests. The Gospel of our Lord Jesus is to cut across all these sub-groups and sub-systems. You’re to take your place as a minister of reconciliation, wherever you are, and ensure those in your world, and in the regions beyond hear and receive the message of salvation. This became your primary assignment from the day you got born again. You are saved to save others.
