CREATED FOR GLORY! (PART 2)
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light" (1 Peter 2:9).
Everybody wants to be important; that's a fact of life. Inside every one of us is a craving for relevance. We want to be treated with courtesy, dignity and respect. That's why you resent it when you're treated like you're nothing. You resent being relegated to the background in the society. The truth is, you are already valuable and that is why Jesus paid the supreme price for your salvation–His blood.
Today, we see so many people trying to find that relevance in the wrong things, wrong way and the wrong places. This is the reason for the robberies, murders, restiveness and antisocial behaviors amongst many people. It's the reason for the despots, tyrants and dictators of the world–the crave to be relevant! They are searching for relevance but in the wrong way. Some persons believe that their jobs or businesses will give them the relevance and fulfilment they crave. Others believe they'll find it in marriage. The truth is you can only discover your importance and relevance in God.
You may have looked at your life in retrospect and felt a lots of regrets, but I want you to remember the great price God paid for your redemption. If you are not that important He wouldn't trade with the blood of Jesus for you. As a Christian, your net worth is not in the amount of money you have but in the priceless blood of Jesus Christ. You're worth the blood of the Son of God! So appreciate yourself and look at life with hope. Ask the Lord to show you what to do to improve yourself daily, a He'll guide you on the right road to your divine destiny. You're not an unknown entity in the world, the great Shepherd who "...calls his own sheep by name and leads them" (John 10:3 NIV) is your guide; He'll never lead you astray. You're relevant to His ministry of reconciliation to the ends of the earth.

The Prayer:
Awesome Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you because my relevance is in you. Nothing the world offers is worth the joy, relevance and satisfaction that I have with you. My confidence is in you in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
