THE SONS OF GOD (PART 2)
"Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: (Colossians 1:12).
The only way one can be initiated into the sonship of God is through salvation. Salvation is the boundary between being the son of God and being not. The Bible made us to understand how this works in the book of John 1:12, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the SONS OF GOD, even to them that believe on his name." That shows you what to do to become and what makes you the son of God. You're to receive the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart and confess Him over your life because it was His blood that made your sonship in God legal and vital as we learned yesterday, after which you'll then receive the POWER to become one of the SONS OF GOD. Praise the Lord!
Now, having become one of the vital and legal sons of God, our opening verse for today made us to understand that we have inheritance in Christ Jesus. Of course, there's no legitimate son of a man that doesn't have a claim to the man's inheritance. That would be an error. So to be a son of God, you also have a claim to your inheritance in Him. This inheritance we're talking about is a different kind of inheritance. This is because God doesn't have to die (as it is with men) before you begin to enjoy your inheritance in Him. No! God doesn't die. He lives forever but you're to enjoy your inheritance in Him here on this earth as His son or daughter. The key to activate this supernatural type of inheritance is what most Christians today are yet to understand.
Thanks be unto God our way-maker for He revealed this key to us in the Book of Acts 20:32. And it reads, "And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified." Did you see that? That is the secret! Your inheritance are wrapped up in the WORD OF GOD. The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul said, "...I commend you to God, and to the Word of His grace, which able to build you, and to GIVE YOU AN INHERITANCE..." that means your blessings are embedded in the Word of God. The knowledge of the Word of God is what will deliver up your blessings to you. Everything and anything you'll ever need has already been provided for in the Word of God, and this is why you must search the scripture daily, continually and consistently study the Word. It'll first build you spiritually( your spirit will be vibrant and aglow), delivering up your inhertance to you in the process. Let your spirit be conversant enough with the Word of God because "...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:" (Ephesians 6:17) the Word of God is the sword of the spirit with which you win warfare!
God has made you a champion, a victor, His Son and daughter, therefore you are more than a conqueror. You are a ruler; reigning with Christ Jesus in heavenly places. Get into the Word of God today and begin to claim those blessings accrued to you in Christ Jesus.

The Prayer:
Father in the name of Jesus I come to you today to cleanse my heart of all uncleanliness that has deprived me from experiencing and exercising your power. I accept your Son Jesus Christ into my heart today because I believe He died and resurrected for my sake. I accept Him as my Lord and my Savior to come and stir and direct the course of my life according to your will O God. I possess my inheritance in you today as your vital and legitimate Son/Daughter in the Name Of Jesus.
