BELIEVE AND FAITH!(Part 2)
"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)" (Hebrews 10:23).Our opening scripture for today in the Message Bible Translation reads thus, "Let's keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word." (Hebrews 10:23 MSG). Now, the KJV says "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith WITHOUT WAVERING ..." The phrase "without wavering" as used in this verse means without doubting, without thinking whether or not the Word of God is really what it talks about. That's means when the Word of God comes to you, you're expected to believe and accept it for what it stands for, -ever effective, quick, active and productive. (Read Hebrews 4:12). The Word of God is powerful beyond what you think your problems are. That is, you can take an absolute solace in the knowledge of what the Word talks about.
The other version says, "Let's keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going..." Why? Because God "...always keeps His Word". He never fails. The KJV says "...faithful is He who has promised..." This is where the "doing" part of the Word comes in. To make the Word of God effective in your life, you need to move from the realm of believing into the realm of faith. I've said it countless times that the two are not the same. When you believe is not the same as when you have faith. Some Christians are still in the "believing zone" thinking they are exercising faith. Hebrews 11:1 made us to understand that "FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS you HOPED FOR; THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN" which means faith is a proof of your expectations. When you "believe" you're "waiting" to possess or waiting to receive. But when it's "faith" it means you've received that which you've been "waiting" for. In faith, you're not still thinking whether or not you'll get it or have got it (which is wavering) but all you know is that you've received it because THE WORD OF GOD SAYS SO.
When this truth sinks deep into your spirit, it doesn't matter anymore what happens on the outside, it doesn't count if the sickness persists, it doesn't matter if the situation deepens, all you know is that you're free and free indeed because the Word of God says YOU ARE. Praise God! Understand that things won't change by themselves; they won't even change because you believe. Believing isn't enough; to effect the change you need in any area of your life, you must go from believing to faith! You must fight the good fight of faith. The fight of faith is when you consciously live according to the Word of God, irrespective of the circumstances around you and what your senses tell you. It is when you insist on the Word and hold on to it as the only reality.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your Word this morning. I declare that my situation is turning around for good henceforth. I confess today that I'm making progress, no setback for me anymore. I cast sicknesses and diseases out of my body right now because my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. He lives in me. I declare that I am free and never to be afflicted anymore in the name of Jesus Christ.
